It was 2009 in Athens, Greece. Electronic artist Hior Chronik and accomplished classical pianist Zinovia Arvanitidi immersed themselves in a delicate world of hazy childhood memories and nostalgia, and music project Pill-oh was born. Piano, vocals and abstract electronic elements brought forth an offspring of compositions where modern classical and electronics collide.\nHior Chronik was born in Athens in 1974. His relationship with music started when he was working as a radio producer for Jazz fm in the early 90s’ and as a columnist for various music magazines. He began creating music about 7 years ago and today his focus is on minimal ambient based mainly on piano, characterized by cinematography, melancholy, scattered notes and long melodies that form expressive engagements. His music is featured in various films, documentaries as well as art performance. His debut album entitled “I’m a tree”" was released from Enregistrements Variables label in 2010. Collaborations constitute his basic core of inspiration and motivation for creating music. His 2nd solo album, entitled “Unspoken Words” was released by mü-nest in November of 2011, which will include collaborations with Akira Kosemura, Natalie Tba, Roger Doering (of Dictaphone), Zinovia from Pill-oh project and many more.\nZinovia Arvanitidi was born in Athens Greece in 1976. She first took piano lessons at the age of 8 and started composing music at the age of 15. She has studied classical music, piano and theory (obtained various diplomas such in Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue, and also a diploma in Music Technology, Sound Composition, Advanced Recording and Mixing Techniques). Since she finished her academic studies she has been involved in many projects as a vocalist, musician and composer, collaborating with many famous and established Greek artists, performing live all around Greece and Cyprus while receiving serious acknowledgement from people and press.\nZinovia began writing for the theatre in 2008 and for films in 2009, (Plays: “Best Friends Forever” by Ioli Andreadi, “Ghosts” by Stelios Katsaris. Films: “37 Memories” and “From the Earth to the Moon” by Angelos Spartalis ) emphasizing in the creation of the most precise musical atmosphere which brings out the best elements of script and picture. She is currently in the process of recording her 2nd solo orchestral album, to be released within 2012.
