Tawanda was born and raised in Zimbabwe and moved to New Zealand at the age of 22. An instinctive love of performance both on stage and screen saw him heading to the nearest amateur theatre and was immediately cast in the play "The Full Monty". From there , it was a snowball effect. A couple of years later, he auditioned for Toi Whaakari- The New Zealand Drama School, and was accepted in 2009. On completion in 2011 , he has since been involved in various theatre and screen productions. Tawanda is also a musician and plays guitar and percussion instruments.
