简介:
"When founded in 2014, the Copenhagen-based five-piece GOATHAWKBUFFALO found common ground in their love for sludge and heavy stoner genres. Through inspiration from bands such as The Sword, Clutch, Kyuss and Corrosion of Conformity they’ve created their debut full-length ‘Come To Temple’, which is set to be released in November. \nOn this coming release, the guys are ready to raise hell with ten new clear-cut songs, showing the ability these guys have to create a soundscape that effectively combines dusty stoner and bluesy sludge with the raucous vocal of front man Johan Brandt. \n“The process of creating this album was actually relatively fast – we had a high-intensity period where we, more or less, wrote a new song at every band practice. Musically within the band we have our individual preferences when it comes to the harder sludge metal\u002Fstoner genre spectrum, which reflected in our respective inputs during the writing process. We’ve actually live-recorded the album, to which we subsequently recorded various crazy overdubs – we’ve had microphones in empty Jack Daniel’s bottles and buckets of water, we also ran a guitar signal through a pickle - just to name a few. Listeners should expect a rather different sludge\u002Fstoner album, sound wise it’s gritty and trashy, but in a way so it all still makes sense, at least in our eyes”, guitarist Asger Abel Sørensen explains. \nFollowing the successful collaboration on their critically acclaimed debut EP ‘Release the Beast’ from 2017, the band has once again teamed up with producer Johan Jørgensen at The Village Studios, for the creation of their coming release.\nThe debut album ‘Come to Temple’ will be self-released on November 8."
