Volcanic, like the Icelandic soil she came from, her voice carries the unsettling calm of new grounds. Light and sharp, like the porous stone of Reykjavik, her music rises from the tension between different temperatures. \nCool and bare on the outside, it is but the surface that has cooled down over the years. In each song, there is a lava heart that pushes from within. Much like inside of herself, she finds a world of tension around her. Always stuck between opposing ends, views, interests, goals, the harsh reality of human behaviour is Thorunn's never ending source of inspiration. And Thorunn didn't take long to realize that music is her own way to cope. Thorunn's musical career started in a bathroom in Luxembourg, where she would hide and play the flute for hours on end. Already then, the soon-to-be singer was aware, that space and sound are twin sisters. \nEver since, Thorunn has made music out of contrasts.
