Dr Meaker are one of Bristol's prize assets. Many have been won over by their mind blowing live performances, tight production, quality writing and their ability to effortlessly mix soul with Bass music.\r\n\r\nApril 2012 - Dr Meaker released their Dubstep tracks 'In My Soul', 'I Dream of You' through Deekilne's label Sludge Records. The tracks are available in all online digital stores now.\r\n\r\nIn Nov 2011 Dr Meaker released their massive single 'Higher' ft Redskin , with high profile remixes from Graffix - (Hospital Records), Eddie K - (Hench) and Serial Killaz and Run Tings Cru.\r\n\r\nThe 6 piece band and Production outfit is made up of Clive-Synths, Tom-Drums, DJ-Bass, Ben-Sax, Jon-Trumpet and Lorna-Vocals. \r\n\r\nThey work with special guest vocalists such as Sian Evans, Yolanda Quartey, The King Blues and Mc's such as Redskin, Carasel and The Astroid Boyz.\r\nDr Meaker have had a busy live schedule of 2011\u002F2012 so far, playing rip roaring sets at venues and Festivals across the UK and Europe including Glastonbury, Beach Break Live and One Love Festival and have just returned having played the headlining slot at the BRITS Snowboarding Championships in Switzerland!\r\n\r\nDr Meaker are set for a massive 2012, with gigs in the UK and abroad and huge releases on V Recordings and Sludge Records.\r\n\r\nSupport has been welcomed from Radio DJ's, Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Rob Da Bank, Ace and Vis, Crissy Chris, John Kennedy, Tom Robinson, Claire Anderson (Jazz FM) Pete Tong as well as a host of support from music press (DJ, IDJ, Word, Art Rocker, Clash) and online blogs. The band have performed a live lounge session for Mistajam at Maida Vale Studios, and live studio sessions at 6MusicHub and Radio XFM.\r\n\r\n\r\n---------------------------------\r\n\r\nAccolades include:\r\nWinning BBC’s New Talent Urban Bursary Award 2006;\r\nWinning the Glastonbury Festival Unsigned Dance Act Award 2007\r\nBBC Radio 1 - Gods of the Pods 2007\r\nPerformed a live session at Maida Vale studios for BBC Radio 1 \r\nXFM Live Session Jon Kennedy August 2008\r\nBBC 6 Music Live Acoustic Session w\u002F Tom Robinson September 2009\r\nRadio support from Zane Lowe, Pete Tong, Rob Da Bank, Huw Stephens, Mista Jam, Jazz FM (Claire Anderson), Kiss, Galaxy, Bang;\r\n\r\nAce and Vis Radio 1xtra plays of the single 'Higher' - Nov 2011\r\nCrissy Chris Radio 1xtra plays of the single 'Higher - Nov 2011
