Mariem Hassan is a singer and writer of lyrics from Western Sahara. She is an ambassador of the Sahraoui people. Through her songs, she expresses the pride of her people that was condemned into exhile for decades.\nOwing to political uncertainties, Hassan has not lived in Western Sahara in recent years.Her work has been added to the World Music National Geographic database.She has collaborated with the singer and lyricist Nayim Alal, also of Western Sahara.
