Satanic Assault Division is a danish black metal band that emerged from the city Nyborg during the year 2012. 2 members of the danish folk metal band Sylvatica, and in Particular Thomas Haxen, started Satanic Assault Division by writing various simplistic black metal riffs, inspired by the demo tapes of early Satanic Warmaster, hence also the name reference. The duo Thomas Haxen and Martin Hamann (also member of Sylvatica back then), contacted Jardén Schlesinger to record the demo Erasing Religion, the result was by all means of low quality, specially since they lacked a drummer, and therefore used Guitar Pro midi drums instead, but nonetheless, in late 2012 the band got contacted by a local promoter, and to the very inactive SAD's amazement, they were offered the oppurtunity to support Archgoat. The band accepted immediately, contacted Danni Lyse Jelsgaard and Ib Petersen whom they knew from Svartsot, quickly had their first rehearsal, and played the show. The show recieved very mixed reactions, but in any case, it gave the band the initiative to start going more serious. Various band rehearsals and songwriting began, and hit the studio in late February 2013, ready to record a full length consisting of mostly brand new songs, but also some revamped old demo songs, rewritten to fit with Danni's trademark blast beat style of playing. Fans can therefore expect a very different Satanic Assault Division than the one from the demo currently on youtube, we are currently searching for tourdates and labels to promote our most recent, yet not quite finished, work. Hope to see you on the road soon. Hail Satan.\n \nFounded: 2012\nRelease Date: 2012\nGenre: Black Metal\n \nCurrent Members:\nThomas Haxen - Vocals, Songwriter\nMartin "Tyfus" Hamann - Guitars, Songwriter\nDanni "Lord Vold" Jelsgaard - Machine Guns\nMichael "Atziluth" Huhle - Basguitar, Backing vocals, artist\n \nFormer Members:\nIb Petersen (2012-2013) - Bas\nJardén Schlesinger - Guitars, demo production (2012)\n \nHometown: Hell\nRecord Label: Domestic Genocide Records (US)\nCurrent Location: Hell
