\r\nAnne-Marie O’Farrell was born in Dublin and studied at the DIT College of Music, University College Dublin and the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, where she recently gained an MA in composition. Her composition teachers have included Seóirse Bodley, Martin O’Leary and John Buckley and she has also attended masterclasses with Karl Aage Rassmussen and Judith Weir. She is the recipient of many national composition awards, including the Mostly Modern Composers’ Competition, the University of Dublin Prize for Choral Composition and the UCC Capriccio Festival Composition Competition. In 1996 she was a finalist in RTÉ’s Composer of the Future Competition.\r\n\r\n \r\n
