BEN TORRES is a 19 year old guitarist\u002Fsinger\u002Fsongwriter born in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ben’s interest in music began at an early age having acquired his first guitar, a Fender Stratocaster, when he was just 9 years old. He’s played with non-stop ambition ever since.\n\nIn his young musical life, Ben has studied guitar for 5 years with Sean McWilliams, Mike Walker and Ryan Phillips and 3 1\u002F2 years of vocal studies with Manny Lujan, Christine Andrus and Ron Feldman. Ben has also studied advanced theory, songwriting and techniques for as long as he can remember.\n\nHis performance career highlights include opening for The Little River Band in Palm Coast, performing at the House Of Blues, performing at the Hard Rock Hotel in Tampa, as well as playing at many local venues and restaurants.\n\nAt the age of 16, Ben released his first full-length CD “Like No Place Else”. The album was produced by Mike Walker at Dreamwalker Studios and features 8 original songs written by Ben, and another 2 songs co-written with Walker. The album made it's FM radio debut on Beach 92.7.\n\nBen recently recorded his first music video for his song "The Life We're Given" with Diamond View Studios. The song is about those who can not escape their past and as a result it affects their future. Written by Ben, the song was produced by Maika Maile and mastered by Chris Athens.\n\nOne of Ben’s goals is to become a well known artist familiar to every household. His desire and dream to touch millions of lives grows stronger every day. \n\nSome of Ben's greatest influences consist of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, 311, John Mayer, and Dave Matthews Band.
