Billy started his career at the age of 6 when he became a chorister in the choir of St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Having to spend hours every day rehearsing and performing for church services as well as picking up the piano, ‘cello and saxophone, his musical ability could not help but increase at rapid pace. Singing at events like the queen mother’s 100th birthday, Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones’ wedding and performing with the likes of Joanne Lunn and José Carreras prompted him to continue on this path and, on leaving St. George’s School, he was offered a major music scholarship as a ‘cellist to Uppingham School in Rutland.
