Born in 1975, Francisco Meirino is active since 1994 (as phroq until 2009) in sound and live performance, he explores the tension between programmable material and the potential for its failure by working mainly with the computer, magnetic fields detectors, reel-to-reel tape recorders, piezo transducers and various acoustic devices. \nMore than 100 live performances in various venues and festivals in Europe, Japan and North America. \nOver the years, Francisco Meirino had the honor to collaborate on studio and live with great artists such as : \nDave Phillips \u002F Scott Arford \u002F Michael Gendreau \u002F Michael Esposito \u002F Astro \u002F Randy H.Y. Yau \u002F Lasse Marhaug \u002F Mike Shiflet \u002F Jason Kahn \u002F Kiko C. Esseiva etc... \nHe has been commissioned with music for: \nPro-Helvetia (Switzerland) \u002F Radio Airplane (Japan) \u002F Cindy Van Acker (Switzerland) \u002F Mostra d'Art Sonor i Visual de Barcelona (Spain). \nHe has been awarded with the composition prize for experimental music in 2003 by the Swiss Art Counsil. \nFrancisco Meirino is Spanish but lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland.
