Vashtie Kola, often stylized as Va$htie, is an American artist, director, designer, party promoter and entrepreneur.\nKola was born and raised in Albany, New York and is of Indo-Trinidadian and Afro-Trinidadian descent. Vashtie moved to New York City in to attend film school at The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, where she studied directing\u002Fcinematography. At the same time, Kola interned at RSA\u002FBlack Dog Films and HSI while working part-time at Stussy in SoHo.
