Miri Lee had her very first piano lessons at the age of five. An award-winning concert pianist, sought-after teacher, accomplished accompanist, and in-demand wedding musician (piano, harp & pipe organ), this Vancouver-based pianist was selected by CBC Radio to perform in a national broadcast in 2003. Miri graduated with Bachelor and Masters degrees in piano performance from the University of British Columbia, where she garnered numerous awards and scholarships for her excellence in piano playing and studied with various renowned teachers. Forever pushing the artistic boundaries, Miri has participated in master-classes with world famous pianists. In the summer of 2003, Miri participated in the prestigious Summit Music Festival in New York. Over the years, Miri has performed across all over British Columbia, Calgary, New York and San Francisco, including the Orpheum, Bell Centre, Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, the Richmond Cultural Centre, Top of the Mark Hopkins and the Vancouver International Airport, as a soloist, a collaborative artist and a corporate entertainer. As Music Director at a United Church, Miri plays piano and pipe organ and conducts the chancel choir and worship band. Miri holds an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (a.k.a. ARCT) Music Performer's Diploma and teaches piano from her Vancouver & Richmond studios. Miri also accompanies numerous ensembles and plays her three main instruments in many upscale venues for various events in Greater Vancouver.
