KUNDALINI AIRPORT is based in north Goa (India).\nAround Paco\u002FElectric Sitar\u002FVocals\u002FMandolin\u002FHarmonica\u002FCompositions, this season five other musicians participated regularly at this project. Ori Balak\u002FDrum, Edwin Braganza\u002FBass,Praveen Bhati\u002FTabla, Chris Kovax\u002FKeyboards, Elvis Lobo\u002FGuitar \nEvery year, we come together in Goa around October and we play up to May.This, since 2004. We play everywhere it is possible: beach shacks, cafes, markets, hotels, friends gardens, festivals, yoga centers.We even played in an Indian wedding!\nWe try to perform as much as possible, around eighty gigs per season now\nWe generaly play in quintet, but the band is often reduced as a duo: Sitar\u002FMandolin\u002FVocals, Tabla\nKUNDALINI AIRPORT did welcome more than thirty musicians from all over the planet since its debut: Israel, Iran, India, Nepal, Japan, France, Romania, Italy, Russia, Holland, Canada, and the line up saw many many different formations, wich is not very surprising for "Nomads" like us...\nKUNDALINI AIRPORT is a "Fusion" band, most of us have Rock or Reggae background, some study or have been studying Indian classical , Middle-east & African influences can also be ear in our music. We play more compositions than traditional either instrumentals or songs, with a big place given to improvisation. Of course the tunes get different, different colors in quintet, or duo! The lyrics explore the eastern traditions of devotional music: Hindu, Sufi or Buddhist.\nHow to define KUNDALINI AIRPORT ?\nMysticism and Spirituality brought into a global ethno groovy music?\nA playful fusion of sacred & profane?\nA challenging combination of respect of traditions and tasty experimentations?\nThis season was our 9th in north Goa...And we have played our 500th concert. \nWe have released a cd and sell it at the concerts every year since 2005, our last one is called “CROSSWORLD “ and it got lots of middle-east influences. \nWe recorded it at home and it was mixed in Israel at Kicha Studios by one of the Best producer of Ethnic fusion music : Uri Balak .\nHope to see you soon at one of our gig next season...\nInsha allah!\nMay peace,peace & peace be everywhere...\nSarvamangalam!
