Submorphics (Innerground\u002FHospital\u002FLiquid V\u002FGood Looking\u002FSpearhead\u002F San Francisco, USA)\n \nSubmorphics (Greg Axelrad) creates deep ocular future funk, with parts retro soul, Detroit\u002FChicago synthentics, jazz, film soundtracks and indie vibes infusing his harmonies.\n \nBeginning on the humble local scenes of Detroit and Chicago, Submorphics has since DJ’ed in over 40 cities, headlining major gigs at Fabric in London, and across Europe and North America. While he is on the decks, Submorphics sonically alloys disparate styles; the grimy and the smooth, the hypnotic and the astonishing.\n \nIn the past five years his fluid musicality has been embraced by DJs Fabio and Friction, with tunes like “Miles Ahead”, “Step in the Spot ft. Selfsays”, "Summer Soul," "Higher Ground ft. T.R.A.C," "Burning Love" and many more receiving heavy play on BBC Radio One and clubs internationally.\nCelebrated primarily for his soulful drum and bass sounds, Submorphics has diversified his repertoire, publishing a plethora of emotive bass music in the 110-140 range. The eclectic musician has also taken on the role of producer for vocalists Armanni Reign and Christina Tamayo.\n \nSubmorphics exploded into 2012, as Hospital Records released the massive Camo + Krooked- Change Me (Submorphics Remix) on the Between the Lines Remix CD (NHS206). Subsequently, releases on Drum & Bass Arena and Rubik Records added to his impressive discography.\n \nIn 2013, Submorphics stepped it up, with high-profile releases on Innerground and Good Looking Records igniting the DnB world. "Summer Soul," on Innerground became a scene anthem, with heavy play from DJs across the musical spectrum. It was released on Innerground b\u002Fw the mighty Calibre's remix of Marky & S.P.Y's seminal "Yellow Shoes." Following this was the smooth and uplifting gem "Hazel Street" on Innerground's 'Future Classics' EP. On the very same day, LTJ Bukem released Submorphics' "Cosmic Blue" on vinyl on Good Looking Records. As if this wasn't enough, 2013 saw the release of Calibre's remix of Submorphics- "Organ Grinder," also "Forgotten Dreams" on Good Looking Records' 'Collectivism LP', and the harder-edged soul tunes "Hurt so Bad" and "Burning Love" on Liquid V.\n \nMay 2014 sees the release of the highly-anticipated "Burnside Park" EP on Liquid V, which has been absolutely hammered on Radio 1. Expect more big news from Submorphics as 2014 continues...
