Inspired and happy with the results, Carlson went back into the studio and recorded her debut album, Apples for Eve, which was released in September 2001 and spawned the single "I Know You By Heart," recalling such acclaimed singer\u002Fsongwriters as Shawn Colvin, Carly Simon, and Paula Cole. The same month her debut album was issued, a few of Carlson''s tracks were featured in the high school football documentary Go Tigers.
