ENZO LANZO Drummer, Composer 。He started to play very early, as self-taught man. Later he started the studies at local music scool sing, piano and percussion instruments. After he attends the advanced studies with, Enrico Rava , Roberto Gatto, Jon Cristiensen, Pierre Favre, Paul Bley, Gary Peacok. Initially influenced by: Max Roach, Philly Jo Jones, Art Blakey. Later by: Roy Haynes and Jack de Johnette too, and also, he study the European drummers too, as: Gunter Sommer, Tony Oxley, Paul Lovens. Lanzo through the reserch of the sound, looks forward to a new mix of improvvised music. His début, to take place with Enrico Rava's group in the 1992. It was very important with him, because was showed in Europe. In the 1996 he début with a CD, RONDONELLA PROJECT is the title, published by the English record company: LEO RECORDS. Through this work he put in evidence the main aspects of your music: The melody in continuous change, in wich realize a original balance between his popular traditions and jazz traditions.
