Songwriter\u002Fproducer Dave Liang was born in Lawrence, Kansas and grew up in upstate New York. In his senior year of high school, he was selected as the pianist for the NY All-State Jazz Ensemble. He attended college at Harvard University where he majored in Applied Mathematics and composed music for the Hasty Pudding Theatricals. Upon graduation, he worked for the strategy consulting firm Bain & Company. After spending time in both the NY and Hong Kong offices, Liang decided to leave his job and start from scratch as a full-time producer. Since then, he has worked with several major label artists, including Bad Boy Records’ Carl Thomas, whose album Let’s Talk About It was certified Gold by the RIAA.
