Calm Paradox is Michelle Kennedy. \n \nLaw student by day, indie rocker by night.... the 20-year-old singer-songwriter is a super [trooper] hero of sorts: Kennedy was a classically trained vocalist and harpist before she took up the guitar. She was also an avid dancer for over ten years, having studied ballet, tap, and jazz.\n \nA native of Houston, Texas, Michelle moved to Utah in 2008 where she played at open mic nights and small acoustic shows. She launched her label in summer 2010 and recruited bandmates as the next step in an ambitious and entirely misguided endeavor. But plans fell through, and Michelle started law school shortly thereafter. \n \nSo she walked into the studio with her guitars and walked out four months later with a wicked debut album & a clever new moniker.
