Sob Story is the second full-length album of scratchy indie pop from Louis Jones' Yorkshire, U.K.-based one-man band, Spectrals. It follows 2011's Bad Penny, which saw Jones add a classic pop sheen to the ragged, lo-fi sound of his early 7" singles with help from producer Richard Formby. This time around, production is provided by former Girls bassist Chet "JR" White and the album includes the Big Star-influenced single "A Heartbeat Behind."
