Veteran musical traveler Sean Lennon has formed a new duo called Mystical Weapons with Greg Saunier, Deerhoof’s mindbending tourettic drummer. The partnership began after Deerhoof played a San Francisco show with Sean’s mom’s Plastic Ono Band a few years ago, and it seems to be a vehicle for the two to explore their furthest-out musical ideas. They’ll release a self-titled album early next year.
