We got on very well and decided we should start a band. Great! But we needed a good singer.”\n\nMichiel: “When I started studying at the conservatory I met Koen. I decided at once to introduce him to Erik and we all got along really well.”\n\nKoen says: “We started meeting every Wednesday to make songs. After a couple of months we were like… man these songs are really good, we gotta do something!”\n\nWhat they did was to name themselves Julius and send some of the songs to record companies. A&R man Menno Timmerman was so impressed he decided to start his own record company – Innercore Music.\n\nThe result was a debut album for both the band and the label. Then came the first single, ‘Back to the Days’.
