Gannin Arnold knew he wanted to play guitar from a young age, inspired by\nthe metal band videos that were being shown on MTV. His first teacher, Adam\nSt. James, introduced him to the music of guitarists who would have a\nlasting impact on his own playing, including Jeff Beck, Randy Rhoads, Eddie\nVan Halen, Allan Holdsworth, Brian May, Larry Carlton, Frank Zappa and more.\nHe cut his teeth playing clubs with his High School fusion band\n“Minimum 3” and had the chance to open for some pretty heavy weight fusions\nacts like The Yellowjackets, Billy Cobham, Stanley Jordan and guitar legend\nScott Henderson. Henderson was impressed with Gannin enough to welcome him\nas a private student and it was under his tutelage that Gannin’s playing\ngrew in leaps and bounds.\nOver the years, Gannin has recorded and toured the world with known artists\nin both the Rock\u002FPop and Jazz arenas, including Cheap Trick, John Tesh,\nSmashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, Jeff Berlin, and Brian Bromberg.\nWhen Foo Fighter’s drummer Taylor Hawkins put his own band together ("Taylor\nHawkins and The Coattail Riders") he chose Gannin to cover the guitar chair.\nGannin has also been recording and touring with one of his guitar heroes,\nJoe Walsh. \nAside from touring and being in demand as a studio musician, writer and\nproducer on projects ranging from Artist CDs to Film & Television, Gannin\nhas recently finished his first solo CD "Not From Here".
