Artist.Born in Oji, Kita-ward, Tokyo, Apr 22nd 1990.\n\n2024 Feb 13th:  Abrupt release of his first song under the name Yuki Chiba, ‘Team Tomodachi’, with the song and video going viral in both Japan and overseas, spread via social media by the likes of Chris Brown, Bun B, Duke Deuce, NLE Choppa, and Megan Thee Stallion, heading straight to the top of Weekly Viral Songs Japan on Spotify.\n\nMar 10th:  Start of new series on ABEMA TV “Chiba Yuki no yuki, kashimasu” (“Yuki Chiba’s courage, for hire”).\n\nMar 12th and Apr 10th:  Release of ‘Team Tomodachi (Dirty Kansai Remix)’ featuring Young Coco and Jin Dogg, followed by ‘Team Tomodachi (Tokai Remix)’ featuring ¥ellow Bucks、MaRI、DJ RYOW; both with accompanying music videos.\n\nApr 19th:  Performance of ‘Team Tomodachi’ on THE FIRST TAKE, the most subscribed music-based YouTube channel\u002Fseries in Japan.\n\nMay 2nd:  Release of the album “Team Tomodachi – The Remixes”.  Including the original version and two previously released remixes, the album contains a total of 13 songs with featured appearances from Japanese artists JNKMN & PETZ, eyden, King Giddra, TAKABO & DADA, SKY-HI, Loota, and Watson, as well as overseas artists Duke Deuce and Bun B.\n\nJun 28th:  Release of the song ‘MAMUSHI (feat. Yuki Chiba)’ on Megan Thee Stallion’s album “MEGAN”.  The song was widely shared all over the world on social media, with Chiba making a guest appearance at Megan’s final Hot Girl Summer show at London’s O2 Arena, in front of a crowd of 20000 and performing the song live for the first time.  This was soon followed by a music video for ‘MAMUSHI’ shot in Japan.  The song reached No.1 on the US World Digital Song Sales chart, No.6 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50, No.7 on the US Hot R&B\u002FHip-Hop Songs chart, No.29 on the Global 200 chart, and No.36 on the US Billboard Hot 100.  It was also No.1 on Spotify’s Daily Viral Songs Japan chart.    \n\nAug 16th:  Performance of ‘Team Tomodachi’ with Young Coco and Jin Dogg at the headlining slot of the Mountain Stage at SONICMANIA.\n\nSep 11th:  ‘MAMUSHI’ nominated for Best Trending Video at the MTV VMAs 2024 held at the UBS Arena in New York.\n\nSince last year, Chiba has been writing a column entitled “Yuki Chiba’s idle chat” for the monthly literary magazine “Bungakukai”.  He produced the album “NATURAL PUNKS” (released Jan, 2024) by Young Sex aka Yan Seku (formerly of Taiyusaim Boyz), while also directing, filming , and editing an accompanying music video for the release.  He has also created a clothing store, Dogs, located in his hometown of Oji.
