After passing up an opportunity with Kama Sutra Records, he began digging deep for the roots of rock & soul and found the blues; Muddy, Wolf, Walter and Sonny Boy.\n \n"What a long strange and wonderful trip it has been".\n \nNed remembers digging Albert King who opened many a show at the Fillmore East in the 60's, then later, in the 80's, playing elbow to elbow with legend on stage at the old Lone Star Cafe.\n \nNed claims very seriously of the blues, “I’m lucky to have found an outlet for my pain and confusion. I can let go of it man... not a lot of people are that fortunate”.\n \nThen admitting with a wink says he, “should have stayed playing baseball during the 60’s”.\n \nToday, Nasty Ned the performer, writer, promoter, visual artist, media personality, bidnessman and long time show-host of American Roots Live, continues to realize his vision of a celebration of American roots music.\n \nThrough six decades of "doin' the do", Ned still breathes for the creative process, is always ready for anything and is a blues man to his soul.\n \nNasty Ned has lived the blues. He has become the blues and has risen out of the blues. He now says simply, he is enriched and "honored to have found the fathers of the joyous noise and to let burn eternal their spirit in my soul and my style".\n \n \n \nPlease visit Nasty Ned on hisNasty ReverbNation pagefor in depth interviews, live gig schedule, chart positions, your own tune widgets, to get on the mailing list, stream and download music and more!\n \nNed is currently ranked 1 in Blues in New Jersey counties; Somerset, Hunterdon, Mercer, Warren and Passaic, and sits (somewhere) within the TOP 20 in Blues in the USA and the World on ReverbNation's Blues Charts!\n
