Caprice is a neo-classical ensemble from Russia distinguished by Inna Brejestovskaya’s heavenly voice and acoustic sound (harp, flute, clarinet, violin, cello) with a touch of electronics. Probably the best known band’s project is the Elven trilogy – an attempt to show what the music of the parallel world of Faerie sounds like. The first two CDs are music illustrations to JRR Tolkien's novels, while the third part of the trilogy is sung in the unique language of Laoris.
Apart from CD releases Anton Brejestovski works as a composer for other numerous music projects.
Discography (more here)
Mirror 1996
Elvenmusic Part I 2001
Songs of Innocence and Experience 2002
The Evening of Iluvatar's Children (Elvenmusic Part II) 2003
Sister Simplicity 2004
Tales of the Uninvited (Elvenmusic Part III) 2005
The current Caprice lineup is:
Inna Brejestovskaya – voice, Vladimir Bobovnikov – flute, Anton Konchakov – clarinet, Alexey Bazhalkin – bassoon, Alexandra Korzina – violin, Tatiana Strunina – harp, Anton Brejestovski – keyboards, Alexey Tolstov - cello, Nikolay Lgovsky - percussion.
