乐队成员：Bart Farquart, Bella Windfree, El Numero Dos, Smokey Bottoms 来自:Swampgas Alberta 唱片公司:Canned Gas RecordsImagine the sound of angels farting – with the passion of U2, and the decibel level of Spinal Tap. That’s the Singing Butts. Without instruments or vocals, these four fartists cover today’s most popular songs with an explosion of talent and wind. Some call them a fart cover band. Others simply call them brilliant.Fresh from Europe, where they had an undeniable effect on audiences, the Singing Butts are ready to explode onto North America. Band members Bart Farquart (burners and moaners), Bella Windfree (tweets, fluffs, and ghosts), Smokey Bottoms (juicers, bullfrogs, and groaners), and El Numero Dos (buzzers, zippers, & bombs) are undeniably the top flatuphonic artists in the world. “Everyone on the planet farts,” explains record exec Colon Powers. “These four fart art.” Says Farquart, “[The music] gathers, deep inside me, and I cannot suppress it. It grows and grows until there is an explosion … I can’t stop the music inside me. But I can shape it – with my butt. And that is what I do.”After meeting at a music festival in the Gutland region of Luxembourg, the four fartists realized they shared the same passion – to fill the world with their musical farts, and began playing locally as “The Big Boom.” As fate would have it, British record producer and flatuphonic music expert Sir Andrew Stencher was on a tour of the famous cheese factories of Luxembourg. Stumbling across the group in a local club, he was completely overwhelmed by them, as was everyone else in the unventilated club. He immediately changed the group’s name to reflect their true nature, and offered them their first recording contract.The Singing Butts were tired of industry snobs turning up their noses at them. A new type of sound was stirring, and these fartists would no longer hold back out of fear or delicacy. After struggling for so long to make their presence known, the group was more than ready to face down the critics, and blow the old perceptions of fart music out of the water.With backing from indie label Canned Gas Records, producer Stencher locked his four fartists into a recording studio, where they diligently went to work on their first album. After he realized that he needed to either unlock the door or increase the level of air conditioning in the studio, the album was quickly completed, and the Singing Butts began preparing for their first world tour.Four young musicians on the brink of stardom, the Singing Butts produce a sound that embraces many genres and styles. Whether they induce a smile, a chuckle, or a delighted guffaw, their music is a happy exploration of the effects of sound propelled outward, blasting its way to the listener’s ear. To those willing to open their hearts, and perhaps to cover their noses, the Singing Butts never fail to provoke a reaction. Says Farquart, “We’re loud, we’re proud, and we’re bringing fart music out of the corner and into your living room!”
