The Band\nThe German habit of organization and the South American chaos characterize Novochild, chosen best newcomer-band Berlin 2008, who consists of three guys from Berlin (both guitars and bass), a German of the former East Germany (drums) and an Argentinean (vocals).\nThe band was experimenting a few years on the rehearsal room, but with the arrival of the Argentine singer (2006) and the drummer (2007) they decided to conquer the new German rock-scene from the stages.\nFirst from the German capital, where in 2007 they won the two prestigious newcomer-band contests "RockTon 2007" and "Bands4Berlin 2007", and, on the other hand, playing in clubs and festivals of the main German cities like Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Hannover.\nIn 2006 they already had given the first signs of their scope both in the audience and reviewer, reaching the German final of the famous newcomer band festival Emergenza.\nIn 2008, and after the successes of 2007, NCH qualified automatically for the "Styles and Skills", an event for winning bands of Berlin contests in 2007. Novochild triumphed also in this competition and is considered to be the best newcomer-band of Berlin 2008, with the title "Local Hero 2008".\nDuring this year they took part at the internationally recognized festival Popkomm 2008 and they also made their first foreign experience, performing in Poland and Spain, and projecting new horizons for 2009. This impulse, added to the constant growth and energy of the band on stage, resulted in the first great project in studio.\nBetween October and November 2008, the quintet recorded in UFO Sounds Studios (instruments) and Peter Fox Studios (vocals) their first CD with the record producer Shola J. Risch of Room4Sound.\n"First day of Stay" is the name of the debut album with which Novochild decided to set out this professional quality jump, which will be available in May 2009 through the label Nova Tune \u002F Orca Records.\nIn "First …" the German-Argentine band plays with lyrics in English and Spanish, as well as with the styles, mixing progressive and experimental rock with mainstream sounds. It is this mixture that gives an own identity to Novochild: depth, but with sheen.\n"We have a long-term project and this is only the beginning of a great trip", agreed the band, which nowadays is recording the video of the first single "Listen".\nThe trip will continue during this year in Germany and Europe and, for 2010, Novochild is planning the first tour along South America.\nNovochild is:\nLeandro Fest (Vocals)\nMilan Straesser (Guitar, Vocals)\nThomas Sadtler (Guitar)\nMartin Hahn (Bass, Vocals)\nMathias Koerner (Drums)\nDavid Hartmann (Sound & Visuals)\nThe show\n‘Communication’ could be the word that sums up the live performances from Novochild. The band is well known for being capable to transmit a palette of feelings that depart from the instrumental base and are canalized across the voice and presence on stage of singer and front man. Leandro expresses and provokes expression from the audience also from his place of entertainer, which results in a collective catharsis between band and spectators.\nOrder vs. improvisation is the fight within the German and South American way on stage, where the own-songs playlist could mix medleys that go from the famous Radiohead or Rage Against The Machine, until the Spaniard ‘Héroes del Silencio’ and the Argentinian ‘Illya kuriaki & the Valderramas’.\nThe live-set is accompanied with thematic visuals that complement the musical performance.\nThe crític\n"Novochild, a very explosive Berlin-Argentine mixture, showed why they nowadays are so desired. The five are just good. Fast rock with many changes and groove, and singer Leandro, who doesn’t know where to go with all his energy... " (ludwigsfelde.de, 16.03.09)\n"Their mixture of classic rock elements, garnished with a pinch dub and tasted with the strong voice of singer Leandro form the ideal mixture to find pleasure in live music. The audience vibrated with the deep sound of the bass". (maerkischeallgemeine.de - Ludwigsfelde, 15.03.09)\n"Alternative, rock and progressive, but simultaneous in three sound languages. The finalists of the Emergenza Contests 2006 brings the audience to dance, sweat and naturally also to cheers calls. Their\nunusual song structures, like in "Zucchini" or "Listen", paired with an almost fervent stage presence carried by the Argentine front man, are not to forget so quickly". (readers-edition.de, Nicole Oppelt,\n10.11.08)\n"They played not only adult, consciously and electrified music. They have in singer Leandro an actor who achieves attention of the audience with his eccentrically movements, gestures and different types of singing". (Stumpen from Knorkator, Berlin, 28.02.08)\n"The german band "Novochild" was a very cool surprise. With the alternative rock which also reminded of 'Tool' but less eccentrically and paranoid, the band feels good on stage. However, this is no disadvantage because Novochild ke
