Comprised of multi-instrumentalists Jon Nils Emanuel Ekstrm, Anders Flanders, and Martin Molin, the group released their first EP, Hemvagen, in the summer of 2006. The disc garnered a good deal of hype in the blog circuit, particularly among bloggers with a penchant for up-and-coming Swedish indie pop acts, such as It's a Trap! and Swedesplease. The following year found Detektivbyran releasing a couple more singles (Lyckans Undulat and a split 7" with Hemstad) and making an appearance on the Swedish MTV show Phaser.\r\n
