Balancing her many artistic priorities comes as second nature to Skye Daru. Ever since learning the piano at age five and signing with Lily’s Talent agency the following year, Skye has had her hands full with many creative pursuits and high aspirations for learning new talents. Now at age 14, Skye’s years of experience and skills ranging from voice, piano, percussion, professional modeling and an array of extracurricular activities, she has quite the repertoire already. \n\nFor Skye, learning piano is what gave her the push and further interest in learning multiple instruments. She is currently playing the timpani in her school’s band as well as competitively. Her favorite instrument continues to be piano, as she truthfully states that there is not one day that goes by where she does not sit at the piano picking up new songs and banging out new chords. Learning piano gave Skye the understanding for vocal literacy, allowing her to win Aurora's Teen Talent Competition with Colbie Caillat's “Bubbly” for piano and voice. From there the gigs began to roll in and she has now played all over the Chicago area. She has played festivals such as Oswego Fest, Naperville Fest, Best of the Midwest Fest, and opened for legendary Chicago blues musician Buddy Guy at Aurora Blues on the Fox. Skye’s main goals as a musician are to continue to expand her fan base and to begin performing around the Midwest. Eventually, she hopes to tour the rest of the country and continue to further her songwriting abilities.
