DARKHER is the Solo project of Jayn Hanna Wissenberg, Formerly front woman, songwriter and visionary with North English Dark-Folk band THE STEALS, who’s previous album ‘Static Kingdom’ (released on own label Faun Records) received countless favorable reviews. \nAnyone who’s witnessed the esoteric splendor in Jayn Hanna’s live work will know a deep spiritual confidence exists within, one feels a sense of transportation to a more ancient, mystical, other worldly place. With her endless waves of deep red hair and a shamanic presence that seems to come from a possibly mythical time long past. \nFollowing a number of solo shows supporting Robin Guthrie, Dead Meadow, Esben and the Witch, Chelsea Wolfe and Dylan Carlson (EARTH) the DARKHER EP has been released ahead of the main Album release, due out in late 2014. \n“slow building storm clouds of guitar around a voice at once powerful and fragile, wracked and serene.
