Five musicians from seemingly unrelated genres come together to make the Band of Rivals. The project began with Sean Cox bringing some material he had recorded to his friends Abbey Reed and Alex-Michael Alleva. The trio began producing a unique blend of folk,jazz,and rock. Soon after playing a handful of shows together, the threesome agreed that they should find a bassist and drummer to the ensemble. These two members were found in Doug Keller on bass and Greg Ondo on drums. The now quintet is currently preparing to release their first studio album entitled "The Better Angels of our Nature". The cd blends folk,rock,jazz,blues,and country and features members of the band playing multiple instruments throughout its duration.
