To many, I am just another statistic. I come from a broken home (my dad left us for someone else when I was 7), I have been marginalised by society (I was bullied out of my first high school, and had to find a new school when I should have been learning), and I am part of a minority group (I have a religious faith). People are very quick to find labels and use them as excuses for these labels... absent fathers (not true, as my step dad is way more of a dad that I ever had!), youths, hoodies etc...What no-one seems to be prepared to do is ditch these labels, and look beyond making me just another statistic. Many of you reading this are probably looking for labels right now for me... freak, geek, bible basher etc... fair enough. But, how many times have YOU hoped people would look beyond your clothes, or your family, and see you for who you are?This is me... that is what I believe. I believe that God has blessed me with the ability to write songs, and share my story and experiences through my music. I am confident that without God on my side, I wouldn't be able to write a note!
