Bailiff is an American rock band based in Chicago, IL, consisting of members Josh Siegel, Ren Mathew, and Adam Schneider. Bailiff plays an explosive blues-based roots style has been described as progressive blues-rock. The band draws influence from many different places including early blues, rock, and hip-hop as well as eastern Indian music, African Music and Native American Chants. The band’s influences are widely diverse, toting bands such as Led Zeppelin, Vieux Farka Touré, Debashish Bhattacharya, Battles, Radiohead, and the Flaming Lips, along with Native American Pow Wows as influences. Bailiff has independently released one four song EP entitled, “Mm Hmm” in January 2008.
