小简介\nDr.Ayako Hotta-Lister learnt the koto in her childhood, and later sangen under Tokue Nonaka & others of the Miyagi School of Koto, and passed the prestigious examination ( Kyoshi-Shiken ) to be fully qualified as a teacher for the both instruments. She has been teaching, performing, giving lecture\u002Fworkshop concerts in Japan, Britain, France, Hong Kong. In order to introduce genuine traditional Japanese music to the non-Japanese as well as the Japanese, who have no knowledge of their own traditional music, she founded Kakehashi Sankyoku Kai in London in 1988, later renamed as Kakehashi Koto Ensemble mainly for educational purposes, mostly for fundraising purposes for schools for the visually impaired and others.
