Cobi Mike is an American singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles. He is best known as part of indie pop band Gentlemen Hall, signed in 2008 by Island Records.\nThe band quickly catapulted to success, being awarded a MTV Video Music Award in 2009 and performing on the Billboard Music Awards in 2011. In 2013, they received placements in Target and Samsung commercials as well as the CW’s 90210 and ABC’s Pretty Little Liars.\nMike is ready to start his own music journey with his debut solo single called “Walking Through the Fire“, first taste of his upcoming self-produced eponymous debut EP “Cobi Mike“, scheduled to be released sometime this year, with the collaboration of Grammy Award-winning engineer Tom Weir and an all-star cast of musicians including keyboardist Mia Fitz and drummer Matt Laug.\nThe four song EP, features a collection of heartfelt and authentic songs with an emotional rawness. The single is also the EP’s opening track and it embodies a powerful metaphor of transformation while holding on to hope even in life’s darkest moments.\n“Walking Through the Fire” was exclusively premiered on The Current on 25 March 2015, and it was released on iTunes the same day. His sound and style reminds me to American singer-songwriter Teddy Geiger.\nThe second promotional track “First Snow” was released on digital retailers on 2 April.
