Kevin Chown is an American bassguitarist from Michigan, famous mainly for collaborations with prog metal band Artension and musicians like Tony MacAlpine and George Bellas. Chown started playing bassguitar already as a teenager and later got a degree in jazz studies at Wayne State University in Detroit. In the year 1993 he became the only bassguitarist in the history who has gained the award for "Soloist of the year" at the Montreaux-Detroit Jazz Festival, two years later he released his first solo album called "Freudian Slip". Kevin´s recently been focusing on his instrumental projects The Bombastic Meatbats, funk-rock band he founded together with Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers and touring with Tarja Turunen.\nKevin loves Italian cuisine, cocktail White Russian and in the free time he enjoys practising yoga, meditating and reading.
