Lynsey is a fabulous, fresh singer\u002Fsongwriter who is a fun, vivacious Northern girl with a big heart and a wicked sense of humour.\nLynsey has been living and working in London for several years and her much anticipated debut EP is due for release in the early\nautumn of 2012. Being brought up in a musical household (her parents were in a folk band), Lynsey was surrounded by\nsongwriting, studio recording sessions, rehearsals and gigs from birth and as a result quickly developed a love for singing,\nespecially down a microphone! She then moved on to the piano at the age of 4 where her talent was evident and she soon began\nwriting her own songs. Although classically-trained on the piano, she learnt to play by ear very quickly and discovered vocal\nharmony thus began her passion for music and vocals.\nHer first studio session was at the age of 10 and she has since worked alongside many pop artists including Will Young and record\ncompanies such as Sony, Universal and Mercury Records providing backing vocals and demo tracks both live and in the studio.\nLynsey writes from the heart and her experiences past and present and also her future hopes. She keeps it real and makes no\napologies for the raw and organic edge she incorporates into her sometimes painfully honest lyrics. She has the ability to capture\nwords that resonate with any individual and encapsulate it within her melodies and lyrics.\nHer debut E.P is a mix of pop and folk with a country edge, incorporating the rich vibes of a gospel choir and string quartet on\nsome of her tracks, giving a full and unique sound. Lynsey's passion for vocal harmony and piano hooks is evident through her\nwriting, playing and vocal production.\nLynsey is also an avid collaborator and has co-written her E.P with Øyvind Aamli. She also writes with producer and songwriter\nJuan Luis Ayala, and singer\u002Fsongwriter and owner of BigLabel Records, Chris Lawson Jones.\nSome of the musicians who feature on her E.P are drummer Troy Miller (Amy Winehouse, Mark Ronson, Lulu, Rumer, Russell\nWatson) drummer Ed Carlisle (Elio Pace, Katrina & The Waves) bassist Chris Hill (Jamie Cullum, The Webb Sisters, Joe Stilgoe,\nMartin Taylor) and strings player Liz Liew, (Moby, Gnarls Barkley, Goldfrapp, Nelly Furtado, Asian Dub Foundation).\nLynsey's E.P has been produced and mixed by Øyvind Aamli AKA Oy (Athlete, Kylie Minogue, Boy George, Rox, Lou Rhodes)\nand mix assistant Dave Miles (Take That, Paloma Faith, Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Estelle, Ronan Keating) with coproduction\nfrom Juan Ayala (Gabrielle, D-Side, Lee Harding).\nLynsey is promoting her music throughout the USA in October and November.
