She was just nine years old when country star Lorrie Morgan -- impressed by Elliott's demo recordings -- invited her onstage for a duet; she performed regularly throughout Nashville in the years to follow, and in 1995 was invited to sing at the Grand Ole Opry Inaugural Concert for Tennessee Governor Don Sundquist.
