by Steve HueyFormed in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, Absinthe Blind was composed of guitarist\u002Fvocalist Adam Fein, guitarist\u002Fkeyboardist Tristan Wraight, bassist Mike Zolfo, and drummer Seth Fein. Unsurprisingly, considering that Wraight spent much of his childhood in England, the band's neo-psychedelic pop is drawn from mostly British sources, such as Radiohead, the Verve, the Stone Roses, and My Bloody Valentine, as well as Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd. Absinthe Blind's initial album, When Our Flashes Sway, was issued in 1997 by Hammerhead; it was followed a year later by solarshift.
