Caedmon were always an Edinburgh-based Acid\u002FPsychedelic folk band, remembered for their cult eponymous album from 1978. Only 500 copies of the original vinyl album were made, making them very collectable (over £1000 on eBay). A cd version was released in 1994 by Kissing Spell, followed by a ‘Caedmon Live’ album.\nCaedmon’s self written music blends different styles of folk, fragile female vocals, an admirable use of tension and atmosphere, savage fuzz-guitar, cello, and art-rock leanings. \nAngela Naylor: vocals\nSimon Jaquet: guitar, mandolin.\nJim Bisset: electric guitar.\nKen Patterson: piano, cello.\nSam Wilson: bass guitar\nBased in Edinburgh from 1973 - 1978. Appeared in Edinburgh Festival Fringe at The Netherbow Arts Centre in 1976 & 1977, Greenbelt Festival 1977. They performed on same bill as Water into Wine Band in 1977.\nReformed 2008, concerts in Edinburgh May 2010.
