简介:
Prayer is an important personal value, and this album was created for the express purpose of enhancing your personal worship and prayer times (although you may enjoy just listening to it, too). The tracks on this album were birthed from my personal times of worship, sitting in a quiet, dark auditorium simply using the piano as a means of expressing adoration to my Creator. The sound is somewhat naked and unrehearsed by intention, as I wanted to capture the spontaneity of worship as it occurred. My prayer is that this album becomes a tool to help you find your own quiet place in the presence of our God.\nI do want to mention my special connection to track number 4 titled "Healing Austin." When my son was just a few months old, he was diagnosed optic nerve hypoplasia, or undeveloped optic nerves, an incurable condition that is the most common cause of visual impairment in children. In the weeks following this revelation, a number of people began encouraging me to play the piano over Austin as he slept. That initially seemed strange to me. There's certainly nothing magical about my playing, but I do believe that music is a language, and that as we use our God-given gifts to express worship to Him, His presence inhabits those praises. Track 4 was birthed as I played in faith over my son. I'm happy to say as of the writing of this text, that the latest doctor's report shows "no signs of a child with sever visual impairment." Not because of my playing, but because of the greatness of our God.
