简介:
They say misery loves company. Originally born as a one-man incarnation which soon became four, Rote Mare is heavy traditional doom metal with epic and melodic touches. Influenced by the 70's doom\u002Frock of Black Sabbath combined with the 80's doom\u002Fmetal of Trouble & Celtic Frost through to the more recent sounds of Reverend Bizarre, Rote Mare combine all these elements into their own unique but traditional style.\n \nRote Mare began in 2005 as Phil Howlett's one man DOOM project. The main influences are Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost and Trouble along with many other more traditionally minded DOOM bands. Seven demos have been released between 2005-2009 which were written, played and recorded by Phil Howlett. They are American Terrorist (2005), Funeral Songs II (2006), The Red Sea (2006) + Bonus Disc (2007), In Ruins (January 2008), Corruption (November 2008) and Trilogy III (2009). Trilogy III was intended to be the third part of a triple album which was then abandoned when rote mare was expanded into a band.\n \nIn 2010 Rote Mare released it's debut EP (Sorrows Path) and followed this in September 2011 with an album titled Serpents Of The Church. 2013 saw the release of a split with Melbourne band Dire Fate and two new albums titled The Invocation and The Kingdom.\n \nRote Mare (Current Line Up):\n \nPhil Howlett- Vocals & Guitar\nSean Wiskin- Lead Guitar\nBen Dodunski- Drums\nJess Erceg- Bass\n \nPast Members:\n \nDaniel Harding- Bass (2009)\nAndrew Gillingham- Bass (2009-2010)
