简介:
A Mobile, AL native, Chris now calls Nashville, TN home. A student of the guitar for more than 25 years, Chris’ daily routine while growing up was practice, practice, sleep, eat, go to school, then practice some more. Playing and singing at church, writing songs at an early age, and performing in talent shows helped lay the foundation in his desire to do music professionally. In 1997, after arriving at the University of Mobile, he started honing his crafts while touring and performing, which really fed his love for the road. After college, he received a phone call and was invited to go on the road and play guitar with contemporary Christian music group, Truth.\n \nAfter his time with Truth, his focus turned back to the studio, writing songs, recording, and producing, which led to his first record deal as a member of CCM group, 33Miles, who quickly signed with Fairtrade. 33Miles was nominated for “Best New Artist” and performed at the GMA Dove Awards. Their song “One Life to Love” won BMI “Song of the Year”, and they’ve had numerous top 10 and top 20 radio singles. Throughout the years, 33Miles has partnered and shared the stage with artist(s) such as Amy Grant, Switchfoot, MercyMe, Chris Tomlin, Brandon Heath, Casting Crowns, Britt Nicole, Building 429, and many more.\n \nIn Fall 2011, Chris recorded & released his first solo EP, Coming Alive, compiled of 5 songs he wrote while on the road with 33Miles. His followup EP, Heaven on Earth, which released early 2015, is a handful of worship songs he wrote for the church at which he serves in Murfreesboro, TN.\n \nAmong others, Chris has written songs for 33Miles, Jaci Velasquez, Kutless, Phillips Craig & Dean, and spends most of his time continuing to write, produce, lead worship, as well as session work, and arranging.\n \nWhen rarely not working on music, Chris is either with his family, running, reading a good book, or dreaming about the possibilities down the road.\n \n“God is good. I’m a blessed man.”\n \nPhilippians 3:7-11
