简介:
Born Shaun Mohammed, on December 23 1989, the origin of Vibes’ interest in hip-hop is deeply rooted in his childhood. He was privileged to grow up during a time that allowed him to experience hip-hop as it was when translated and utilized by influential artist like The Notorious Big and Tu pac Shakur. He grew to love hip-hop for its ability to paint pictures in his mind and its ability to directly address matters of social injustices in a positive way.\n\nAt a very young age Vibes began to use this outlet called hip-hop to express himself in ways which he was unable to do so with any other medium. He wrote rhymes for just about everything going on around him, and it wasn’t long before he grew confident enough to share his work with others; earning himself the title “Rapper” by his peers.\n\nGoing into high school Vibes knew that he didn’t just want to be skilled as a rapper, he was determined to be a musician. Aware that there was a lot that he didn’t know, Vibes joined the school band in hopes of further developing his skills.\n\nIt was in band class at Runnymede Collegiate Institute that he met group member Jae-Fresh. They quickly became friends through their passion for music and began creating music of their own. Without access to a million dollar studio they would have to settle for a regular computer, a ten dollar mic from Wal-Mart and Reason 1.0. By grade ten they officially got their operation started the group the Low Pros was born.\n\nSince the creation of the Low Pros the equipment has been upgraded, and studios have turned into second homes. Vibes and Jae-Fresh also continue to grow as musicians and have since tapped into other musical genres such as House, Rock and Jazz; however they always bring along a little something from their hip-hop roots. \n\nVibes has always, and, forever will be in love with hip-hop. As long as co-member Jae-Fresh continues to inspire him with world class production the group will always be able to rock crowds and touch the souls of their listeners.
